Kelly Thompson
Hello! My name is Kelly Thompson and I am a groomer at Dogs’ Own Grooming Salon. Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland I have always adored and owned pets. I started my career with animals in 2004 as a calf handler on a dairy farm and instantly knew I wanted to continue my path in life with animals by my side! In 2005, I was given the opportunity to work as a bather at a grooming shop for five groomers. I fell in love all over again. I watched and studied the groomers and decided that was what I wanted to do. So, following a couple of years of bathing and assisting groomers, I decided it was time and enrolled in Classy Pet Grooming School. I was taught and continue to learn from my amazing teacher Jennie Cockrum Smith. I graduated grooming school with a 4.0 and I truly believe my love for animals and the joy they bring to my life helped me accomplish this. I believe grooming is an essential part of keeping our pets happy and healthy. The innocence a pet brings to our lives is precious, and being able to spend time with them every day is a blessing in my life.
Let’s not forget the Kitties in our lives…I will groom them too!!!!
